We believe that no matter how good you look on the outside, it’s how you feel on the inside that truly matters. This belief is at the core of our brand and everything we hope to achieve.

On the 6th of August 2018, we lost a dear friend, Tom. He was just 22 years old. His loss was devastating and is something we still carry with us every day.

Tom’s story is deeply personal to us, but it’s far from unique. Across the world, hundreds of thousands of men are struggling in silence. Many feel they can’t ask for help.

In the UK, one in eight men suffer from a mental health disorder. Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under the age of 45. Even more harrowing, three out of four suicides are men. These statistics are shocking, but they tell an important story: we need to talk about men’s mental health.

Our mission goes beyond clothing. While we aim to create menswear that makes you look and feel amazing on the outside, we want to spark conversations about what’s happening on the inside too. Sharing Tom’s story, and supporting organisations that help men open up about their struggles, is one way we hope to make a difference.

That’s why we’re proud to partner with Men Who Talk, a charity doing incredible work to provide safe spaces for men to share their feelings. Whether through open discussion groups or one-on-one support, Men Who Talk encourages honest, vulnerable conversations about mental health, addiction, and the pressures men face. Their work aligns perfectly with our vision of helping men feel supported and seen, no matter where they are in life.

As part of our commitment, 3% of our profits will be donated to Men Who Talk. When you wear one of these shirts, you’re not just supporting British-made craftsmanship; you’re also helping us fund life-saving conversations and resources for men in need.

Tom’s heart is now the beating drum of everything we do. He lives on through our mission, and his legacy is one of compassion, courage, and connection. Chappell Barrett exists to support the modern man—not just through the clothes we create, but through the conversations we inspire.
